Winegard HS-WING Add On?
Has anyone ever added this to their current standard Winegard Sensar antenna?
Any improvement in reception?

I added one to our batwing a couple of years ago. It did make some improvement in reception. Marginal stations that previously faded out came in a bit stronger.

Even a bit of improvement would be worth the $25 to me!

When I added mine I also got better reception on the fringe channels. Works great IMHO.

Suspect you mean GS Wing. If I remember correctly GS Wing not suitable for RV. You need RV Wing version. And yes - I have added one to third RV and have been very happy every time. On the fringe reception areas it will increase the number of stations you can watch. It will require a bit more time in pointing since it is more focused.

Thanx,
Most reviews i have read seem to be on a positive note. I would be happy to just get a bit better reception on the standard Antenna.

I called the Winegard Tech Support number and was told that the only difference between the GS and RV models is the GS has extra mounting holes for residential applications besides the RV holes, and that either can be used in an RV.

Ok, Sooooo NOW I am Puzzled!
I just received it in the Mail today and it's plastic, ALL PLASTIC, except for a few metal rivets holding the plastic wings on.
Maybe plastic coated metal perhaps?
Have to wait for the cold weather to break for an install

Are you sure about the wings being plastic? The four antenna pieces on mine are aluminum riveted to a plastic housing.
