Winegard replacement

We have the Winegard RS-1000 antenna with digital satellite system. Need to remove the whole thing as satellite signal is received elsewhere and the "Omni directional" local antenna is c___! Works wonderful if within 10 miles of the station! Want to replace with a bat-wing and wondering if the omni directional "head" can be replaced while continuing to use the present "crank-up mechanism" (would just remove the satellite portion)

If you are saying the omni directional "head" sits on top of a crank-up mechanism, then that mechanism is the original mast for a batwing antenna. So the answer is yes. I replaced my old batwing (Sensar I) with one of these:
