Winegard road trip ?

Will this work with a hopper & Joey?

A local guy is selling one for $300.

I was going to get a 1000.4 dish, but is this an option?

It is a standard definition domed dish. It can be setup to work with either Dish or Directv. I had one and was very happy with it. It is easy to install and has a fast acquisition time as well. It's a great price, so if you can live with standard definition it will work for you.

You can't use a Hopper with any dome antenna.

This is correct. You will not be able to use a Hopper unless it is the Trav'ler SK-1000.
