Winegard. Not to hyjack thread. We have a traveler on top of our 2007 winebago voyage. Previous owners have removed some of electronics, we're 5th. Camp world tech says system not supported. Is there service people who know how to repair or upgrade, provide controls, etc to get unit to work. Silly to carry unit around if doesn't work! Can pm at carolaldrow@gmail.com with info.

Hi Mr. Winegard....met with local tech in a wide open parking lot. Could not get antenna to settle down after 20 minutes. "Triple searching" on readout, no other codes. He found 101 and set it manually. Our DirecTV receiver from 2006 was acting up...so no real test done.

I asked tech to give me a quote for RF Mogul Eagle....due to DirecTV letter saying in April 2019 things change and I will need a new HD antenna to replace my SD. Mogul is easily repaired and can easily switch from DirecTV to Dish, should I choose.

Let me know if Winegard has a equal or better solution. Thank you.....

Hi Scooter,

We have the DIRECTV SK-SWM3 TRAV'LER full HD option, but if your system is able to lock to manual 101, you will be able to use it for SD programming now and any additional programming that may be broadcast from the 101 in the future.

The SK-SWM3 gives full HD offering, using 99, 101 and 103.

After no problems with our Travl'er for three years it can't find any satellites. It goes round and round searching and never locks on anything. I called and was told the coax cable might need to be replaced after doing the "diagnostics". Did that but still she searches. Can't find 101 or anything. Call again and is told I might need an LNB or a new reflector or arm or etc. Where do I get the LNB? Oh you can order that from Winegard. Great, who is going to install it? You'll have to get someone. Great. We're leaving on a trip tomorrow so no chance of getting it and installing it before then. Guess we'll just use OTA or cable if the parks have it. I was really hoping it would be an easy connection fix. How naive am I?

Revive an old thread.

What I recommend is to put the unit into manual mode to lock only to 101. This can be done through by accessing the user menu (press and hold enter and select on the IDU with it turned on) and accessing the Manual Mode option.

To operate the menu, remember that select moves the asterisk to denote what can be selected and enter confirms it. Ensure the asterisk is next to Manual Mode and press enter to access it, then use select to cycle through the manual options until Manual 101 has the asterisk next to it and then hit enter. It will prompt to confirm and do so. Then the unit will search only to lock in 101 and disregard skewing to add 110/119. If it is able to lock, it virtually confirms either the feed arm or the reflector is bent.

At that point, you could replace one or the other, or both, to resolve. However, given that the unit cannot get DIRECTV HD and DIRECTV broadcasts very little actual programming from 110/119, you could leave it in manual 101 and use the programming from there. It might be worth trying and watching your favorite programs - most, if not all, should be available from 101.
I came across this trying to figure why my Directv dish just spins around. It states “LG DTV SWM3” on the control box. I recently replaced the cable due to a low voltage code. It worked for a few months then nothing but a merry go round dish, spins and spins. I followed these directions and was able to get 101W. So I guess I need to see which is bent, gotta be the arm, either way, thanks to the poster as I have TV, just not HD, which I hopefully will be able to take care of!
