Winnegard 1000 to DishTailgater , setup in VIP211K Change

In my MH, I have a Winegard that is one of the folding type Sat Dish, that hooks to my VIP211k for Dish.

When I first bought the MH I used the Tailgater because I didn't know how to work the Winegard.

Long stour short I had to get a tech to come help me with the Winegard and he changed a setting in the VIP211k to work with the Winegard.

He told me it was a different setting then the Tailgater.

Lo and behold I had to use my Tailgater this weekend and it worked fine. Well I dont know what the setting is to get it to work with my Winegard again

Can anyone help?

Have you tested it on the 1000 and it would not work?
Our 211k automatically detects the can switch between our Tailgater and rooftop Winegard RM-DM46.

In the rare occasion that the 211k enters the wrong menu upon running installation, I just hit "check switch" button on the on-screen menu and it catches the error and corrects.

Best luck

Yes I have but I haven't tried the check switch button yet.

drakethib,

I'm going to assume what you are referring to is our TR-6100

What you need to do is disconnect the coaxial cable going into your receiver box, and run a new checkswitch test. It will clear out whatever software your tailgater has installed. Now reconnect your coax coming from the TR-6100 and aim it at satellite 119. Once you have signal, run a check switch test and your new software should be DPP 1K.2. You should now be able to watch your normal programming.

For detailed instructions, you can go here:
