hi all

just a note for those of you who care. i just got back from a trip from RI to Disney, fl... i purchased the new Wireless Braodband service from Verizon along with the required PCMCIA card. i inserted the card, loaded the software that came with it and went surfing..

now the card works pretty well in the areas of coverage (most major metropolitan areas)except when it came to downloading large files (music, etc) then it was a bit of a dog - but not bad for wireless...

i used it on the highway near the md/del boarder, about 20 miles south of richmond, va, approx 20 miles south of jacksonville, fla and of course on the disney property.

we were there during the hurricane (wilma) and the information i got was invaluable..

IMHO it is well worth the $60.00/mo fee..
