There are probably a 1000 possibilities but here it is. My old 97 American Eagle's Magic Sat system has decided it cant find Directv's satelite anymore? I took the receiver in the house and it works fine. The message on the screen during setup is that it is auto focusing but no picture? It has lost its mind locking in on something last weekend in the southeast and at home in the southwest today but no picture? Anyone had this or is the system just in need of a thorough once over by an expert? Thanks in advance. Gene

Yes, the thorough once over will involve throwing that antenna off the roof and replace it with something from the 20th century! (a joke, OK!).
It's amazing that the antenna has survived this long so you should consider yourself blessed. However, it's time to upgrade.

I actually am receiving a signal, picture sound and the works BUT the dish is looking to the southwest and all the channels are in spanish? Looking through the manual to see if pointing manually is possible

I think you're looking at the wrong satellite.

There is no manual pointing option but you can try doing a new search with the receiver set to 101 and transponder 1. If you get a signal here then you will be pointing to the correct satellite.
