If you have a smart phone (we don't), depending on the provider and your contract with them is one option. Usually you can link your computer through your smart phone. Another option is an "air card". We have one and we are set up for 1G a month and only use it while we are traveling. We have had it quite some time and it is $20.00 a month. I don't think we have ever went over 1G, but if we did if I recall correctly it is $5. for another gig. Ours is through AT&T.
Google for mobile internet. Some like Internet On The Go via Walmart. Freedompop These are pay as you go type ones, but check to make sure if they are riding on say the "sprint" network that it is good for your area/needs.
Just a thought and something since Millenicom disappeared we are looking into for on the road travels for ourselves.
I should add that we only use the "Air Card" when doing personal business like banking or paying bills. That is why we only went with 1 gig a month. The rest of the time we try and use wi-fi hot spots or the campground wi-fi. Never had a problem other than sometimes the campground wi-fi is down or their system is overloaded and we couldn't get on. Solved that problem by just getting up earlier.
