The light bulb in the microwave went out and I want to change it. Anyone have any input on how to go about it?

Its an Apollo Model # aac34bis. It was made in Aug 2006.
I ordered new knobs for the stove last year so I think they are still around. I like the unit it works quite well actually but the light in the oven went out and I would hate to have to tear it down to get to itl The book says to take it to the dealer to change the light. Please!

Any input would be appreciated.

The light in mine is showing through a stamped screen in metal of top of micro.
There is no access within interior of micro so that means we have to drop off wall and maybe the whole unit comes out of the outside casing of micro.
The turn table is intermittent in operation so that will have to be looked at also.
They do not make it easy for us.
Do you have a manual with instructions for repairs?
Will see if I can find a PDF on your model sometimes they have a blowup of parts.

Just thought of something, if you have a grill at top of face of micro you maybe able to see two or three screw heads through grill.
Remove grill vent and you maybe able to get at light.

OK here is what I found:
Removed the shroud ( 6 screws ), pulled the Micro from the cabinet, Removed back cover and top / side cover. The light bulb is very simple to get at but the local stores do not have a bulb that matches the physical size. The bulbs available locally are more tubular than bulbular and a 1/4 inch longer so they do not fit.
What I understand about the process is that a microwave holds a large voltage charge that can hurt you if you touch the area that is dangerous so BE CAREFUL not get into the dangerous wiring. If you just work on the light bulb you should be fine.
When I got into this job I found a wire disconnected from a small plastic cooling fan and my light bulb was just loose so I fixed those two problems and all is well again.
