Hello Folks! We recently purchased a used 2001 Holiday Rambler Presidential 5th Wheel. So far, we absolutely love it. We have placed it in a seasonal park near Lake Ontario. It's been working beautifully until this past weekend. When I left the last time, I turned off the 50A breaker at the meter. When we returned this past weekend, I turned the 50A breaker back on and when we turned on the overhead lighting, it is flashing or blinking or pulsing; whichever term you want to use. Upon checking further, it seems anything 12V is blinking. Any appliance running off 120V is working fine (furnace, HW heater, A/C, refrigerator, and all wall outlets). Anybody know what could have happened here? I have unhooked the battery and I'm going to charge and then load test it. I also noticed that the power converter (Inteli Power Model PD9155) has a ticking sound coming from it. When I turn on the battery switch the ticking sound gets faster. Could it be the converter went bad? Any help anyone can provide would be VERY much appreciated. Also, when I'm hooked to shore power, do I leave the battery switch in the ON position? I assume I do to allow it to charge back through the converter, right? Thanks!

First let me welcome you to the forum!

By turning off the main 50 amp breaker you turned off power to the converter preventing it from charging your batteries. The better way to shut down if your going to be away for a while and have shore power connected or not, is to use the battery disconnect switch.
