I would like to locate a 12V remote controlled thermostat for my TT so when dry camping or hunting, I can turn on my furnace from the bed. My current one needs to be set and run manually. I know that sounds lazy but it sure helps to warm up the trailer before you get up. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated

whammon, weclome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of you adventures and experiences. I would recommend you either just run an inline switch next to the bed and set the wall thermostat for the desired temp. setting before retiring or visit an electronics store like radio shack and buy the components needed to do what you want through RF remote and reciever w/ relay to handle a amp of 12 volt power. There are other ways to actually control the temperature setting but it will probably be cost prohibative unless you need a new air conditioner and wall thermostat that can control the furnace. In other words there are some new systems that have a remote control operation. Good luck and take care.

Replace your thermostat with one of the programmable ones. Set the time and temp before going to bed.

My old Vectra motorhome had a generator start switch by the bed. I would plug 2 electric heaters in and turn them on before going to bed. Then when I would start the generator when I awoke and get up when the motorhome warmed.
