2004 Splendide Washer Dryer combo

Splendide 2004 washer dryer combo not drying clothes properly. Contacted Splendide repair with little help. Thinking about having camping world repair it with Good Sam Warranty. Is it beneficial or can they really repair the unit, or do they replace it?

On my Splendide there's a thermal "safety fuse", (p/n 186240099), on the top of the drum, (under the top white sheet metal cover).
If/when that fuse blows the "heat element" stops heating, (but everything else works).
It's a 1/2 hour DIY replacement project.

Is yours vented or non-vented? Our Splendide 2000 was not drying and there was no air coming from the outside vent. I opened it up and the rubber hose from the drum to the back of the unit was completely clogged! Cleaned it out and it works great now!

Our dryer was not drying also because of the two thermal protectors being tripped, also located under the top cover. Once cover is removed they are easy to reset, but use a tool of some kind to reset since the button is located between to powered terminals. Or unplug like I should have done when removing cover.

Splendide has always been great on the phone, way better than most. There are only two guys that do phone tech . It does require some mechanical aptitude to work on the Splendide. The unit is very repairable and should not need replacement. Good Sam will do the very least (money) they can get by with.

Camping World can be hit or miss, it depends on location and if they have someone trained. It will probably take weeks to get on schedule.

Pull the lint filter out and look down inside with a flashlight and a mirrior. If that is plugged up with lint, it will not dry. I took a 1/2 clear plastic flex tube and duct taped it to the hose of my shop vac as sucked all of the lint out from there and the outside vent. Worked perfect after that. That became an annual maintenance item and my dry continued to work perfect for 10 years.

Possible overheating an/or fire because of lint blockage in the exhaust tube/vent is the reason thermal "safety fuse", or fuses, (on my 18 year old Splendide there is only 1).
If that fuse blows it must be replaced....(it's not resettable).

Is this a replacement fuse or a push button type reset?

My rv is a 2005 made in late 2004 it has the double resets push buttons. It is the vented unit, since yours is not it could be entirely different.
