3 way breaker

Is there such a thing as a 3-way electrical breaker such that you could choose one of two circuits to have live? I have a 50 amp main panel with a 30 amp breaker in it for the inverter. I then have a 30 amp sub panel with the inverter supplied circuit breakers in it. I would like to run power directly from the main to the sub panel so I can have power to it should my inverter transfer switch fail on AC input. My main panel doesn't have room for another breaker but my sub panel does. Looking for the easy button here.

the easy way is a 50 amp 3 position motor switch, it would not give you and protection but that is already provided in the panels.
And it could easily be install and have the appearance/ profile of a light switch.

To answer the first question the answer is YES, there are "Dual Breakers" each one is half the width and they come two in one assembly so two breakers fit in the space normally used by one, I have several.

HOWEVER.. DO NOT do what you purpose.

If the inverter' built in transfer switch fails

Open the breaker feeding the Inverter... Then transfer the OUTPUT (Load side) wires to the INPUT (Supply) side. NOTE: if you need the inverter as a battery charger, You can "Triple" these so you keep feeding the batteries.. Disable the inveter section (if you can) and once buttoned up turn breaker back on.

Alternative.. You can get a 30 amp transfer switch (About 50-100 bucks) at an electrical supply house, Install it next to the inverter.

SHORE power lead goes to one side of the switch, and to the inverter.

Inverter out goes to the other side of the switch

Center is the sub panel.

To transfer manually... Double "tap" the switch (yes it takes two taps on mine)
