I have a stand alone generator with a 120 volt, 30 amp,3 prong socket (L5-30P) Do they make an adaptor to plug the RV cord into the generator? I also have a 4 prong, L14-30P socket. They make an RV adaptor to plug the cord into a 15 or 20 amp socket (I use one at home) but I haven't found an adaptor to use the 30 amp, L5-30P socket supplied by the generator. Do I have to make a dog bone with a L5-30P male end and a female RV plug on the other end? Somebody must sell one! Thanks.

I don't think you will find one. I made mine got a female RV plug with about a one foot cord for $10.00 then got the L5-30P male I think was about $8.00. My generator came with one L5-30P male connector.

That's exactly what I am/was looking for. Haven't been able to find one anywhere. I went to the site and opened an account, ready to order. Unfortunately, when I went to checkout I found that they wanted almost as much to handle/ ship the adapter as it costs. In excess of $30 is just too much for it. The male and female ends are readily available at Lowe's or Home Depot, I went tonight and found them. For just under $20, I can make my own dogbone to the length I want. Thanks for your help.

Egads!!

That's an unconscionable amount for shipping something that only weighs a few ounces.
