I have a 2004 Bounder that i bought and thoroughly love! BUT there is one thing that i wish was different it has 2 ac's @ a 30 amp with the intellitec system on it. Why can't I re-wire one of the ac units seperately with it's own cord and breaker? then when I go the a 50 amp site I can plug the main cord to the 50amp plug with adaptor and the single ac to the 30amp plug? Just a thought.__________________________________________ _________ 2004 bounder w-22 1996 saturn toadmobile

You can certainly do that. Many people do when they add a 2nd AC to a 30 amp RV.

There was a post a month or two ago where a member did just that. It was complete with pictures. Unfortunately I could not find it using a search. Maybe somebody else can point you in the right direction!

Why can't you re-wire one unit so it has it's own cord? You can

Will the park pedestal hold up to 80 amps of load? I would think the park's pedestal might fry. I assumed and maybe others do as well that you hook up to the 50 amp service or the 30 but not both at the same time. I'm sure the park owners would not like it and if you burned it up, he will send you the bill. The park I'm located watches everything like hawks. They'd spot two power cords plugged in quickly.

He has a 30 amp RV, so at max he would be drawing 30 + 20 amps, even if he's plugged into the 50 and 30 amp recepticles. The RV breakers would limit the input current.

I appreciate the response I got from everyone, I kind of thought I could but just wanted to be sure. As far as total amp usage i figured my total usage with both ac's running and all other appliances to be only around 47amps. Thanks again everyone!
