I have a 3000w inverter setup to power the whole coach. But often don't need all that power, so am thinking to add another small (and more efficient) inverter to run just the commonly used TV and computer. Want to place it near the batteries and have a remoted on/off switch as I have for the existing 3000w inverter.

I have not found a small inverter with on/off remote capability - suggestions?

Did the same. Installed a Xantrex XS400 400W full sinewave inverter with a buildin transfer switch. It powers all the entertainment equipment and the nightstand outlets. It has a remote on/off switch.

I reviewed the user/install manual for the XS400. With the internal transfer switch, when I would have my existing 3000w inverter turned on the power from the existing 3000w inverter would be simply passed through (as the existing 3000w inverter powers the whole coach just as if it were on shore power). Only consternation here would be that the existing 3000w inverter is not sine wave output. But I like the XS400's transfer switch for when on shore or genny power.
