50 amp plug at our S&B shows reverse polarity on my Progressive Industries EMS.
Electrician says the outlet is wired correctly. I think two wires are switched. I just can’t find anything on which two and how to correct the issue. I took a chance and plugged in without the EMS. Every plug inside showed proper power using a plugin tester. Any help is appreciated.

I understand , reversed polarity ( hot neutral) on a 30 amp RV plug , but this is the first I've heard about it on a 50 amp plug .
Do you have this test diagram ?
Did the electrician do a meter test like this or was he just going by wiring color?

If you have a voltmeter and know how to use it, and presuming the outlet is a NEMA 14-50....
You should measure 240V between the "outside" vertical slots, and 120V between the lower, center vertical slot and each of the other outside slots, and ZERO volts between the U-ground (at the top) and the neutral (the lower, center slot). If you measure anything else, it's wired wrong.
edit ps: Skip's diagram shows this nicely!

A tie for, the timing of our posts ; Solo_RV_Guy ; hard to post new info when that happens.
My typing is so slow , there can be several posts while I'm typing.

Does it show reverse polarity when plugged in at a campground?

Good question.
And is thus a new home pedestal setup or existing and has been ok previously?

I'm just wondering if one of the current transducers was turned backwards during the install of the EMS....with the arrow pointing away from the contractor instead of towards it

The plug tests exactly as described in your diagram. I gave the electrician this diagram before he started.

That previous park has problems in my opinion.

Instead of just testing .....
Remove the outlet and visually verify where each wire goes
RED to one side terminal
BLACK to opposite side terminal
WHITE to bottom 'slot' terminal
GREEN/BARE to top 'u' shaped terminal
Visually verify the wiring .

If you have 0 volts at ground to neutral, there is nothing wrong with the wiring.
