50 amp service/Inverter

I have a 2012 Winnebago Tour. I am hooked into 50 amp service at an RV park. I have both a portable and onboard surge protector. The portable surge protector and onboard master control shows no errors, 122 volts on both lines. Yet it seems like the inverter is carrying the electrical load. I turn the inverter off and all the electrical goes out. I checked the main circuit breaker and that seems fine. Help!

Any breakers on the inverter itself? They are sometimes small and hard to find.

Does all the 110 go out in the coach? Sometimes the OEM runs some outlets only off the inventor, so the are “always hot” when you are plugged in to shore power, the inverter has a built it transfer switch. Doing so, the inverter is still running, just not using 12v to generate 110v

Are the voltages you reading coming before or after the transfer switch? Do any of the non inverter circuits work when connected to shore power? (heat pump or air conditioner?) If the non-inverter circuits are working then you can suspect the inverter.

You probably have one or two breakers in your main breaker panel that run to the inverter. Make sure it/they aren't tripped.

As suggested, check for breakers on the inverter. I had a friend with a Magnum inverter that had a similar problem and it turned out to be a circuit board in the inverter that failed and made the inverter think no 110 was coming into the coach. Also his charger would not work.

Don't know if inverters have a reset sequence but check to see if yours does.

Hope your problem is just a breaker.
