I have an Itasca 31T Class C. It's got a 30 amp system. I pull a 16' trailer for the race bikes and at the track I need constant power throughout the day for tire warmers. I am thinking of getting an EMS-PT50C and using a 50/30/30 adapter to power the RV and race trailer. When we go camping I would use a 50 to 30 adapter to connect the shore cord to the EMS. On the occasion when there is no 50 amp service I would use a 30 amp male to 50 female adapter. Will this work?

I also wrote to Progressive with the same questions. The answer I got from Mr. Fanelli was "No, it won't work." I had to write back and ask "What part of the setup won't work?" The FAQ refers to an adapter working with their EMS unit. What adapter, where? Maybe my description is not clear.
Scenario#1 Pedistal with 50 amp service- 50 amp EMS - Y connector with 50 male to two 30 female plugs feeding the RV on one side and the race trailer on the other.
Scenario #2 Pedistal with 50 amp service- 50 amp EMS - 50 to 30 adapter adapter for 30 amp RV shore cord.
Scenario #3 Pedistal with 30 amp service- 30 to 50 adapter- 50 amp EMS -50 to 30 adapter- shore cord.
Has anybody done any of these?

I'm sure the "adapter" referenced in the FAQ page is the RV step-down adapters, ie: 50 rv > 30 pedistal, 30 > 15. Hopefully one of the sparkys will chime in with an expert outlook. This question was addressed on the escapees.com forums a few months ago, which is where I obtained my limited information.

I talked to Tom Fanelli at Progressive Ind. today. As I figured my description of what I want to do was only clear to me. I will be able to plug the EMS-PT50C into the pedistal with a Prog. Ind. Buddy Box plugged into it for my 2 shore cords to plug into with 50/30 adapters.
