So on this 2004 Wilderness we just got I see they hooked up the batteries in a different way than our previous one, but obviously it still makes it 12Volts total, and I took a picture of what it is getting from the charging while plugged in, looks alright.

Now my other question is about the propane indicator, this unit and my last if I turned the propane supply off, the indicator eventually goes back to red from the green, yet they had to recertify this gas system and so it is supposed to have no leaks, but why on both units I have had does the indicator change from the green to red, I would have thought once the tanks were off then the lines should hold the pressure.
Any ideas?

As to the batteries in the pictures I think both batteries are 12 volt batteries that are hooked up in parallel. What makes me think that is the cell vent covers......there are two on each battery. I am assuming that each cell cover has three cells under it. If I am correct there will 6 cells under both cell covers on each battery. Each cell produces, nominally, 2 volts for a total of 12 for each battery. The other reason I think they are 12 volts is that it appears, according to the orientation of the batteries, that negative of one battery is hooked to the same post position on the other battery. So, it looks like negative to negative and positive to positive which is a parallel hook up. If they were 6 volt batteries they would be hooked neg on one battery to pos on the other which would combine the voltage of 6 in each batttery for a total of 12 volts.
As to your regulator question. do you have any pilot lights in the RV that could consume the gas in the lines before extinguishing?

Well, I'd hope you get 12 volts and that your batteries are wired differently - those are 12 volt batteries, not 6 volt batteries - you can tell because they have 2 equal sized caps, each covering three cells, instead of 3 caps, each covering one cell, or one cap covering 3 cells. Each cell (count filler holes) is approximately 2 volts.

Well now I feel kind of dumb, never even noticed they were 12 Volt batteries, Duh!
But I must say when I said to the dealer I like having a 6 volt system they never said anything to correct me, in fact said if the batteries did not test out good then I would only get one 12 Volt battery.
So thanks for the help, and as for a draw on the propane, nothing was on, I just happened to notice the bottles were on so turned them off and when I came back later I noticed the change in the indicator.

As for the propane, even the tiniest leak will bleed off pressure eventually. Something as small as a tiny bleed-off around the stove valve would do it after several days. The total pressure in the line is less than 0.5 psi and the red/green indicator reacts to a very small difference in pressure

Yes, those are CLEARLY 12 volt batteries, no question about it.. They are 12 volt batteries. Not sixes..
how can you tell? Look at the top of the batteries.. You see two retangular "Triple caps" Each of those caps covers THREE cells.
A six volt battery would either have 1 Triple cap, or 3 round single caps.
Now the propane: How long does it take to go from green to red?
An hour.. Get it fixed,, A day, Consider getting it fixed. A month Well, if it's a month or more I would still try and get it fixed but I'd not worry about it.
