That was the tricky part. We had a battery box bent to fit an optima laying on its side, bolted it to the bottom of the step battery box, behind the triple step when it is in, then tack welded it befor loading any batteries. It still hangs higher than the surrounding bins, very protected. We thought about moving it to the front, but that extends wire length considerqbly, and where it is now, we were able to use existing wiring. We also up graded the charger converter to the new progressive dynamics intelli power with charge wizard. Very clean install.

That charge wizard will thank you for buying it by NOT destroying your batteries as fast as some of the older converters do.. (IN short it's a good investment)

I agree about how clean it looks. Funny I was just getting sizes for that battery and was thinking of mounting it just at the back of the step.

What size converter/charger did you install ?

I bought the same batteries abd installed 2 years ago They work great have had no problem with them

Thanks all. We installed the 60 amp charger inverter so that the existing #6 wire feeding from the converter was still adequate.
