80% liquid level outage valve fail

The 80% Liquid Level Vent Valve on a friend's RV has some sort of blockage that is preventing vapor from being released thru the valve at the normal rate, there is now just a tiny flow with the vent valve open.

A propane filling station employee pointed this out but he filled the tank anyway since it is a 2016 RV that also has the Overfill Prevention Device (OPD) built into the RV's Horizontal Manchester Propane Tank, and unless it fails it shuts off propane flow before the liquid level reaches the 80 % Liquid Level Vent Valve anyway.

I have found replacement vent valves on Amazon and Ebay for under $ 20 . Realize we would have to get the propane tank empty before we could pull out the current valve and replace it. Then the problem of purging air back out.

Wondering if anyone else has gone thru this and how they resolved it. My guess is there is a metal fragment in the current valve that might be easily removed if I just removed the current vent valve from the RV and tapped it with the tank side facing down on a hard surface.

have you search for YouTube Videos?

emptying the tank, I see no issue, just turn on the heater as that item uses the most.
Then verify with the stove.

Once you get that done, using a fan outside, crack open the valve, and remove.

Fill tank.

Then using stove, turn on, and using a lighter, continue trying to light the stove. Once lit. Move onto the other items in the coach.
