I have an old (83) Holiday Rambler travel trailer with a Coleman A/C unit. I leave the trailer 6 months a year and every time I come back I need to go onto the roof, pull the shroud and turn the fan by hand and lube it. Any idea of why it won't start without a push?

Sounds like you need to replace the motor starting capacitor.

Gentlemen, thank you. I believe I've found a source for a starting capacitor and will jump on it. By the way any rv part has lots of stuff for older model rigs.

I had the same problem and was told it's not an uncommon problem when the unit goes unused for a long time. Also, I just used a long screwdriver to push the fan through without removing the shroud and it worked just fine.
