A/C problems

Used RV 2 weeks ago with no problems. Went back today to routinely check on things and start engine and generator. Both started and wanted to put load on generator. Turned the A/C to 'on', nothing happened; checked and made sure the thermostat was set, and tried once again to start A/C with no results. I did hear the usual clicks on the thermostat and expected the A/C to come on, but nothing or sounds heard. Raised thermostat to 85 degrees and tried to get the electric heat to come on and again no results. Then checked the A/C breakers and both on and not tripped. Tried once again to start A/C after dropping the thermostat to 72 degrees. No results. I have a 2002 Winnebago True Air Basement Central A/C. No problems in past. Need some help! Thanks.

Welcome to irv2.
Are your other AC outlets working. If not , check the breakers on the gen set as they may have flipped.

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

On the side of your generator you should have two circuit breakers check to make sure they have not tripped.

Happy Trails!!!

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Have you tried connecting the RV to shore power to see if the A/C's work that way? As others have said, check the breakers on the generator itself.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
