A/C Question

I have a 17 Pace arrow 38k the front a/c air is blowing warmer than the rear a/c, it also is a bit louder almost like a small rumble. The rear is a heat pump and the front is not. Front is 80 degrees rear is 59 degrees. BTW I'm in Boise and 93 degrees is the forecast today!
Thanks

How are you measuring the temperature? What are you using? You have to use an airconditioning thermometer that reads actual air temperature not an infrared type.

An infrared thermometer will only measure the temperature of an objects surface not the air temperature. Surface temperatures can be effected by other factors. If you are attempting to measure the performance of an air conditioner you need to measure and compare the actual air temperature.

I used an infrared detector at the air return, even if it is not the correct way it is still not cooling.

Infrared, while not perfect, is good enough when aimed at the vent housing material adjacent to or just inside the duct.

You should have a 20 degree differential between warm intake and cold output.

As for your problem, you probably need to get on the roof and examine components .... the fan motor bearings may be bad (rumble).

Well after the 100 plus temp. yesterday and the thunderstorm we had last night and NOT getting any return phone calls with the exception of the"if you did'nt buy it here" BS, I decided to take the cover off and discovered the fan was not even attached to the motor shaft! The lack of quality control is unbelievable! Thanks to all! BTW Mr D, we just came from Vancouver staying at the Elks Lodge. Beautiful country!
