Hi Folks. I have an older RV with 2 Coleman Mach EL AC units and the fan motor quit working on one of them. The compressor kicks on but the fan doesn't. I suspected the motor capacitor but that checks out OK. Any suggestions?

If the unit is 25 years old I would recommend you go ahead and bit the bullet and replace the unit with a new one. My luck would be that I would replace the fan motor and then a month later the compressor would die.

A new unit should be much more energy efficient also. It will be clean and will come with a warrenty too.

Have you inspected the fan area yet? Once on our old 5er the same happened. I removed the cover, and the fan blade would not turn. Further inspection discovered a muddabbers nest blocking a blade. I was quite happy, no money spent, just a red face when I told my wife.
