The fan runs very slow and the compressor don't run. I am at the rv rally in Lancaster and when we got back tonight the air conditioner quit while we were out. I ran the generator to see if it was a voltage problem and no luck. I do not have a volt meter with me.

Sounds like your compressor is fryed. I had one act the same a few years ago, the 30A RV plug got really hot and melted the rubber around the prongs. That resulted in a new AC unit and a new shore power supply cord end. I still don't know why the breaker did not ever trip out. Good luck and remember my sig.

Several weeks ago we had a problem with our AC and heatpump, I was running the Gen when it happened, I turned on the heatpump and my amp meter jumped from 16 amps to 55 amps, and my gen sounded like it was going to stall for just a second, and then we smelled something hot, well, to make a long story short, one of the basement AC capacitors caught fire and burned the wires , I took it to dealer who made the repair, and they replaced all 3 capacitors and replaced the wiring to the tune of $400.00 of which my CSP would only pay $90.00. We were very fortunate that it did not catch our MH on fire that day. Just a thought , that maybe you could have a similar problem.
Our MH is a 2002 Winnebago Adventurer 35U
