I have a 07 Monoco that has radom AC power inturuptions with the exception of two outlets. This happens with 50 amp service and with the Gen on. Anyone have any thoughts on this. I am leaning toward inverter.

May I suggest :
1. Disconnect from shore power & turn genny off.
2. pull the inverter out and check/tighten all connections from shore power & genny, look for corrosion / oxidization at connections.
3. Get a "non-contact" voltage tester (idiot stick), you can find these at Lowes or home depot or any "good" electrical supply or hardware and use it to "SNIFF" for the presence of A.C. voltage at connections (when powered up) , "SNIFF" the out put of the shore power outlet and ALL of the line between the plug in and the inverter/distribution panel and the path from the genny to the inverter/distribution panel and again while the system if acting up.
4. If you do find loose/corroded connections clean with a wire brush and apply a lite coat of "NOLOX" or other antioxidant compound before re-tightening.
IF 1-4 above do not help, seek professional l/ experienced help.
This is about the best step by step I can give you without being there or doing it for you.
Good Luck and don't get bit !
John

On my 04 Tropi-Cal I lost one side of my power and found that inside my inverter behind an access plate on the front there were two 110 feeds to the coach that used wire nuts to hold the wire connections together. Over time the wire nuts had vibrated loose and in my case the current draw increased melting the wires. If you have an access plate on the front of the inverter you might want to check for loose connections there.

Thanks so much for everyone's input! I pull the panels on the inverter, everything is tight and clean, going to have it checked out by the pros, have warranty on it. I was just thought I may have missed somthing simple.

Random you say.. Sounds like this rig back when it was more or less new.
We RVers often find we have a few screws loose.. No, not the mental kind (Well, some folks might argue that) the METAL kind
In this case I'm thinking of the screws that hold the wires inside your main breaker box (And sub panel if you got one) With power off, Generator off, Shore line unplugged, and inverter off if you got one
open the main breaker box and using a flashlight to see with,,, Apply the good old screwdriver to each and every screw there, Tighten firmly but do not strip threads.

Stopped at another RV Park, have been here for about 5 hours now with no AC problem. I have checked just about everything, my wife and I are sitting here with dumb looks on our faces! This is turning into a laugh a minute!!

Maybe the problem is not yours and possibly the campgrounds you have visited.
One thing over looked is your transfer switch and the 50 or 30 amp terminal connections in the TS. The screws flatten out the stranded wiring cable and they can become loose from vibration.
This LINK will show interior of TS and where wiring is connected.
If your not having a problem right now would leave along and wait until you try another CG or when problem may show up again.
You may have fixed it already with all the other corrections you have done.

Since you lost power to several outlets there are a few possibilities. You could be intermittently loosing an entire leg of your 50 amp supply, or you could be intermittently loosing an AC circuit from your invertor transfer switch (Some invertors transfer multiple 15amp 115VAC circuits), or you are loosing a single AC circuit from your AC breakor box. You should be able to confirm the relationship of which outlets lost power by turning breakers off at your breaker box or at the invertor output box.
Since this is happening on both shore power and Gen power you need to determine if the outlets that lost power are on the same breaker, or possibly on different breakers but the same leg of the 50 amp supply.
If all outlets are on the same breaker and If the circuits are those circuits that also can be powered via the invertor, then check the invertor transfer connections and/or the circuit breaker connections associated with those circuits.
If the outlets receive power from different breakers, and these breakers are on the same leg of the 50 amp supply then the fault may be at the Generator transfer switch or the input connections on the main AC circuit breakers. IF these conections all seem fine then it could be (but rather unlikely on such a new coach) a single contact in the transfer switch is intermittently failing.
In all cases Make sure shore power and gen power is off and check the connections at the Generator transfer switch connections, at the invertor transfer connections, and at breakers in the AC breaker panel. Us a GOOD quality, large bladed screw driver.
Good luck.

Thank you very much for your input! I am almost on overload trying to solve this. Taking the coach in to let the pros work with it and repair a few other problems. I'll post the findings!
Thanks again!
