ACs will not run on generator

Our ACs will run fine on shore line but will not run when driving on the generator. All outlets work fine, tv will turn on. Fridge does not want to stitch to ac power, runs fine on propane. We have been parked for several months, is that the problem. Or any suggestions. Thanks you.

Did you check the breakers out on the generator? That would be the first thing I'd check. On our Onan 5500 the breakers are located next to the start switch.

Sounds like one leg of a 50amp service is open and whether it be because of the genset and a breaker contained there in or with one of the legs not making with the transfer switch. Both legs in fact, if the power you're seeing on the outlets is coming from your inverter and if you indeed have one.
Some of the same symptoms are present with a loss of 12vdc, but don't see the correlation with running the genset.

If tripped, flipping won't get it and must be fully returned to the off position to reset and before turning it back on.

Could be that you're not getting anything out of the genset, to begin with, while we're pulling at straws here, but you'll need someone with a voltmeter for that and for checking on both ends of that breaker.
Do you perhaps have a light on the generator's voltage regulator board, that might be telling you something?
All this still requires proper troubleshooting procedures after checking all the basics.

As I said before, I never will figure out, what these transfer switches are good for and can think of a lot better ways, for spending the same money.

Thank you all

The Generator is an Onan 7500. No meters to check with so will have to get a technician. I really appreciate your input and will share with hubby to see if he can do anything from your suggestions.

If you have an EMS display it should show you if you have 50 amps, how many amps are being used by the RV,if all the circuits are energized. Usually 6 green indicator lights, numbers for amps used and one green indicator for 50 amps.
