Adapter with cable or none?

So we got to our most recent stop North of Ballinger, TX and realized that the campground only offered 15/20A service. (Ugh)

We looked a bit online and found two adapters that look like they would work, but they look a little different. One is more like a cable and one is smaller and fits right on the end of our cord. Here they are taken from the site FYI:

30A to 15A RV Plug Adapter
30A to 15A RV Pigtail Adapter

So if i'm right, the only difference between the two is that one has a cable? Just want to know if there's a safety difference or something. Would like some advice!

I use the straight plug adaptor with neon light. Fewer places for things to go bad, plus the neon light tells me that the extension cord I use at home is live.
I picked mine up at Walmart.

Welcome to iRV2! Yup - check out Walmart for the adapter you may need...they typically have them in stock in the camping/RV section.

I prefer right angle anything as it's less strain due to gravity.

Also know, you're very limited with that 15A outlet.

The adapter with cord is more versatile and can be used in more receptacle configurations, nice to have both.
