adaptor cord?

New to rv'ing. Just bought a used popup that is 15 amp and it has standard 110 power cord. I also have a short extension to change from 110 to a larger plug like what you find at an RV park. Aren't I asking for trouble by using this extension?

If you mean that you have an adapter that will allow your standard 15amp circuit into a 30 and/or 50 amp plug then no, you are not asking for trouble. The adapters are designed specifically for this kind of an operation. Your coach will still be limited to using 15amps by your on board circuits and the associated breakers.

Ok, thx Bill. GUESS I was thinking that because it looked like trying to put 110 volts into 240 volt receptacle that it seemed wrong, but all the RV power supplies are 110 with different amp availabilities?
