How late is too late? I've purchased two grp27's that were tagged "March '06". They have yet to be used, they've only been maintained with a PD9140 with CW. I've always been told that you want to purchase batterys the same age when using them in a bank. I wish now that I had purchased a third matching battery, but I didn't.

I'm wondering now, if I bought a third, would it drag the other two down enough to be a concern?

If the batteries are within six months old of each other you should have no problem as long as none have any bad cells. Here is a link with lots of good battery info: http://www.dcbattery.com/faq.html
Good luck and be safe.
