Air Conditioner problem

I have been a member for some time now and have never needed to post a thread due to the wealth of information contained on this site. But i have finally found a problem that i could not find on here.

When i turn on my AC, the fan/blower works just fine however, the actual AC unit will only blow cold air for a few seconds and then turns off. the fan keeps blowing just fine. the AC will keep going through the cycle of coming on a few seconds and then off for about 30 seconds. Happens when we are using shore power or the generator. we have a 2010 Mirada so i don't think the AC is the problem. I am thinking about replacing the thermostat to start with. Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi, if you search 'AC SHORT CYCLING' you may find some suggestions, I had come across posts describing your problem under that heading on this board as well as on the internet in general.
