Air hose quick connect

I have a 2002 Ultimate Freedom with the 370Hp Cummins. There is a quick connect fitting in the front left basement compartment under the 12 volt fuse center. Standard compressed air male quick connects will not work. Is there a different fitting for the Winnie or is there an air quick connect location somewhere else on the coach?

I can't find anything in the owner's manuals.

We have only owned the coach for two months and are still learning how to use all the systems.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Petep,
I understand what you mean, we've had ours only three weeks and I feel like I'm repeating RV 101. Much different than the Airstream we had for 17 years.

On my unit, the female coupling accepts a male automotive type "C" connector. Everything else I have accepts type "D", so I have only the one type "C" connector, then at the end of the hose, I switch back to type "D" which accepts my other air chucks, etc.

Hope this might be of help.

Are the inside diameter or the outside diameter of the male plugs that go into the quick connects the same for the Type C and D? It appears that the quick connect on my coach requires a smaller diameter.

You will find the fitting you need here. Hose Fittings - buy quality brass fittings, hose fittings and air fittings direct!
If necessary replace both fittings.

Petep,
Both look very similar to me - I only realized it was an automotive type "C" connector while reading the "owners manual for the 2007 HR Neptune", otherwise, I might still be trying to find which one fits. I noticed on my coupling in small print, the letter "C" - you might need a magnifying glass to see if the type is on your existing coupling.

I bought my type "C" at the local auto parts supplier.

Lostagain suggests you might want to replace both fittings, which sounds like an alternative if you don't find the correct connector.

Those fittings allow a service vehicle to apply air pressure to release your coach brakes in order to tow your rig. Changing the fittings may cause a problem. Keep the originals handy!

I changed the quick connect fitting and everything works great.

Thanks to everyone for your advice.

Special thanks to MickBrennan, I will get the original out of the trash right now.
