lp5151,
We were just at the Pomona RV show and noticed that most of the new coaches were all electric, stove, residential frig etc. They are also equipped with new tall batterys that are equal to 8 U2200's that doubles the battery capacity that will help. I spoke with a couple at the show that have CC equipped with a residential frig and they told me that they wish they had the gas frig because they like to boondock and that the residential frig is ok to run overnight but they are also running the generator to keep the batterys charged: (They have 8 batterys with no solar power). I have 325 watts of solar power that keeps my 4 U2200 batterys peaked out and would not consider a residential frig without solar. The only time I use gen auto start, (we dont want it to come on and wake everyone), is when we go to Las Vegas or Laughlin Nevada because, even though we have full hook ups, I set auto start just as a back up in case the electricty goes out at the park to run the air conditioners for our dog. We do not visit the desert areas in the summer because of the heat. DW does not like electric stoves in the house and espically the MH and I agree with her, no electric stove for us. Our only consideration for a residential refrigator would be because of safety, (the Norcold recalls). I would problebly look at the Dometic gas frig before the residential.
