We are looking at a Cedar Creek DayDreamer FW but the refrigerator is 110 volt only with a dedicated inverter. I have checked the brochure and the Web looking for power demand for this appliance but can't find anything. Our boondocking to date has been limited to no more than two days at a time. And I'm not sure what kind of battery bank we would need to power an electric only refrigerator for any length of time.

I know some MHs have electric only refrigerators but this is the first time I have seen one in a FW. Anybody have any experience or information on these appliances??

The compressor itself will draw less than two amps but the heating elelment for defrosting will draw between 4 and 5 amps 120 volt side. Roughly multiply this by 10 to get the dc amperage. You will also loose a little in the inversion as the inverter is not 100% efficient.

Thanks Mike. Since I posted originally I found out that the 'dedicated' inverter for the refrigerator is rated for 500 watts which dovetails with your advice.

I kind of thought that the defrost process would draw more then just compressor operation. How pampered do we RVers have to be to have a 'no frost' freezer in a FW?
