Amish cooling unit

OK now, I have a new Amish cooling unit installed. What is a good temp setting? I started on 1 and then 3 for 24 hours. At the end of the 24 hours I showed 40 degrees on the top shelf of the right door. Outside temp was ~72 degrees. Didn't measure anywhere else as the ice maker was throwing out some good drink coolers. There was also nothing else in the reefer. I seem to recall that it would help to have something in the reefer? I also normally run one of the battery operated fans in there but didn't have have it in for this initial test. Will be doing more testing. Comments welcome.
Good luck and safe travels!

Hi Doug, fridge that is empty is not a good test like you said, if I was you load her up (both sides) and go have fun and see what it is doing after a couple of days. Let us know....

Unfortunately it will be awhile before I can do the necessary load up and retest. Got to do some more work on this RV so it will be good and ready for next summer. Wasn't sure about the fill it up and test because my memory is not getting any better. Really appreciate your reply. Thanks.
Good luck and safe travels!

I use wireless sensors in my fridge compartment and one in the freezer compartment.

I like the air temp in the Fridge to be somewhere between 36F-38F. For the Freezer I like it somewhere between -5F and 0F.

Take a shelf out and use a few milk cartons of water to test with.
