an odd thing happening recently
I am trying to figure out why this is happening. First nothing has been rewired, or nothing has been added to this coach since new (1998) except new awnings. Here is what I can't put my finger on ...When the roof air is running (and cools great) if a ceiling light (12 volt) is turn on or off, the air will kick off just like it does when cool enough in coach. It doesn't matter which ceiling light either. But in a couple minutes the air will come back on. Now I know the air and the 12 volt lights are on different circuits so this is whats confusing, and it just started on the last 3 outings. I haven't taken it to an RV dealer yet but trying to figure this out. Any one ever had a problem like this? any suggestions or ideas why? thanks for any help.

Fluorescent lights can interfere with the system. Here's a link to some previous posts on this and something called a choke filter which will prevent this.

thanks Cliff. I don't have Fluorescent lights, mine are just the older type that uses 2 automotive type bulbs (1156 I believe) I never had this problem before and this is a 1998 Four winds. It seems to me which I haven't checked that far yet that might be a bad ground somewhere. Just a thought, since it doesn't matter which or what room the light is turned off or on. The air always comes back on in just a few minutes other then that everything works find. the air will come back on while the light is on. only when it is turned on or off

Sounds like a bad ground wire or a corroded one someplace.

If you have an electrical weirdness that makes no sense, it's usually a ground issue.

The Air conditioner is Coleman Mach, and the thermostat is also. Now the thing I have found out so far, is it only does this when on Auto, but move the thermostat to ON position and it will not kick off when lights are on. Any suggestions? thanks
