While coming home over the weekend, a piece of metal came bouncing off a truck in front of me and (luckily) ended up bouncing under my rig. BUT it hit my grey tank and put a small hole and several cracks in the bottom. Looking at the very strange design of this tank, I doubt I can find a replacement, so I guess I'll have to attempt a repair. Does anyone know if this old tank is plastic, or some type of poly ? (see sig). I've read several threads on here about different epoxys, etc. but want to make sure I get the right one.

And I guess while I'm at it, I might as well change the sensors in the grey and black tanks. How hard is that ? Do they simply screw out, and screw a new one in ? How can I tell what type/ model sensor I need ?

THANKS !!!!!!

I used a product called Plasti-Mend that I bought over the internet. Check my posts from the past and you'll read all about my experience. If your tank is made of ABS, this is the right stuff to use. Good luck, HarveyP

Get a new tank. It is an insurance claim. They can make the mold to the tank specs as long as you can get the original tank manufacturer and model number.
