My freedom 20 panel display shows:
Overload light blinking
switches 3, 4, and 7 are on
The manual explanations don't seem to describe what it's trying to tell me.

IF operating in inverter mode (no shorepower or generator running), the inverter is probably overheating turn it off and allow to cool down, also check ventilation space around inverter make sure its clear.
IF operating in charger mode (connected to shorepower or generator running) the charger has shut down probably from excess AC Ripple pushing past the rectifier when trying to recharge excessively discharged batteries.
Dip Switch 3 is ON the battery charger set-points are set to recharge a Gel Cell battery with the outside ambient temperatures less than 80 degrees F. Do you have Gel Cell or Wet Cell batteries? Their charge voltage set-points are different.
Dip Switch 4 is ON the ON/OFF button on the remote control panel controls the battery charger as well as the inverter. Are you trying to manually control the ON/OFF ability of the charger? The normal (DS 4 is OFF) operation of the charger is automatic when shorepower or generator power is available, the charger automatically receives power and runs efficiently in 3-stage mode.
Dip Switch 7 in ON (and 8 is OFF?) the Power Sharing level is set at 20 Amps (factory default is 30 amps {DS 7 & 8 should be set to match the value of the breaker located on your circuit breaker panel which protects the AC power going to the inverter.}). To successfully charge an over-discharged battery, you must set Power Sharing level to lowest setting. This will limit the charge current and the resulting ripple voltage. Turn both Dip Switches 7 and 8 ON for 5 Amp output. Warning: You MUST reset the dip switches when battery charge level reaches 10 volts.
Factory default settings: All dip switches are in the OFF position. The Dip Switches are located on the 'back' side of your control panel.
Continued excessive AC ripple could mean the rectifier is "going" and the inverter will ultimately need to be replaced. For more information about AC Ripple in the DC output of a converter or inverter charger, check out this link: https://datapowermonitoring.com/pdfs/DPMC%20Ripple%20Whitepaper.pdf
Hope this helps.
