1210im
going to quartszite this weekend so turned it on last weekend. it's empty cept for a few items in freezer. got the temp set on 1. it's 24* in box!
temp sensor is on 4th fin from right about half way up. if i move sensor to left will that warm it up? any other ideas?
thanks, dave
PS: seems like it's been goofy since i had the last recall done but not sure.

You may need to put some items in it to let it regulate temp. Here in Texas it is 83f outside motorhome, fridge is on 7, inside box is 35f. This is a 1200 Norcold.

cannon man,
I just walked outside to my coach and looked inside my refrigerator (Norcold 1201) and the thermistor clip is on the second fin from the right, about 1/3 down from the top. I am running on a setting of #5 and the inside temperature is 32 degrees. I think you need to move the clip over and then try it.

I used to move my sensor around trying to get my dometic to cool better, I guess it may have helped some.
I have found that a fridge basically empty will cool way too much. Like someone else posted, put a few goodies in there and check it.
My 1200 LRIM is around 18 empty and below 0 in the freezer but warms to right around the freezing mark in the fridge loaded.

About two six packs should help the fridge reach proper set point. I would recommend a good domestic and a micro brew. Seriously, throw some aluminum cans in there and then check temp.

As I was told, the Norcold sensor should be on the 2nd fin from the rightmost and the Dometic on the rightmost fin for the 1200 series. Movements of the sensor need only be about 1 inch at a time. Up cooler, down warmer.
This was told to me by RV Rrefrigeration in Tuscon, rebuilders of cooling units, while they were completely reinstalling one of their units that was installed by "RV Lifestyles" in Quartzsite. They said it was one of the worst install job's they had seen.

If your referring to moving the sensor, ya gotta give it some time between movement, I would guess a day if your in and out of the frige as on normal useage. I would think?
