Aquahot Issues

Aquahot 450de 2010 tiffin

Installed new nozzle added some distilled water because leak on top at bleed off valve

Run out of fuel got below 1/4 tank

Put more fuel in now heats fine at zones but not enough hot water

Only problem can find the exhausted pipe temp is not very hot

Did you clean the burner while you had it apart? How about filter change? Is your stir pump operating when you’re using hot water? If your incoming water is really cold, try using from your tank vs the hook up.
Good luck,

That sounds like the diesel burner isn't running. Is the burner cycling quickly on and off? Did the system work OK before you ran out of fuel?

Given that you're getting good heat in the zones but little hot water I'd suspect the stir pump. Recommend you call the AH Service Line - the techs are good at walking you through diagnostics and can recommend some fixes.

Good luck,
Not positive if stir pump working, how you check that?

Always used tank water

Installed a new nozzle, and water separator

Yes it worked fine before ran out of fuel but i can tell by the noise at the tail pipe the burner is running all the time and not short cycling

The exhaust seams to be Staying hot all the time now

Could the water separator not filled all the way up with fuel when we got below 1/4 tank?
