ARP for Norcold

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a ARP unit for my Norcold 1211. I am very happy with the fridges performance so not considering a residential.

Has anyone had this installed? If so how much did it cost to have a shop install it?

Thanks,

I think I paid around $150 and did a self install. Was not a difficult install.
Should take less than 1 hour for a reputable shop to install.

Not yet. Just went to their site and looked up the price to get an idea of the cost. Several different models.

UD-

I installed an ARP unit myself. It requires some 12V wiring tools and wire. The trickiest part is putting the connectors on the wires between the unit and the boiler temperature sensor. A professional installer should be able to complete the job in an hour. For me, it took four. ;-)

I bought the fan controller version. It turns out that for our coach's exterior vent arrangement and typical exterior air temps that the two interior circulation fans made the biggest improvement. We can now maintain interior frig/freezer temps with the controls set at "2." The exterior fans made no significant difference.

Thanks Mark,

I am definitely going to get a professional to do it.

We have had the coach for nearly a year so want to get the fridge, furnace, water heater, basement air serviced.

I just installed mine last month, took me more than an hour but I always over think everything. But really an easy self installation.

If you are at all handy, I would attempt the install yourself. Paul, the owner and inventor of the ARP is really helpful. Just take your time and you should not have any issues.
