Atwood 18000BTU AC

Does anyone have a 18000 BTU Atwood AC with heat pump and what do you think? I want to install 2 of these units??

What are you putting them on? The good thing about oversizing heat pumps is the ability to cool the interior on low speed (quiet). The down side can be cooling the interior quickly which doesn't remove the humidity.

I want to install them on a 2009 Holiday Rambler Ambassador (40) and remove the Carrier AC Units

I want to know how they are "18kBTU/hr" units. Because they really aren't, Atwood says they cool like it, but really aren't.

I believe their claim is that these units are so efficient that they are getting the equivalent of 18,000 btu's out of a 15,000 btu unit. If it is true I might look into swapping out one of my Carrier units.

Do you have a link to the specifications? I can't find anything. The Air Command site doesn't list anything with 5.2Kw cooling which is the equivalent of 18,000 BTU.
