I need to replace the gas valve/solenoid in one of my 8500-IV-DCLP furnaces because of a small propane leak that I detected coming thru the burner-tube.
There's not enough room to access/remove the valve with the entire furnace in-place.
It looks like there may be an internal sub-chassis to which the motor, plenum, valve, etc, are mounted and might be pulled out in one piece, but I don't see how to undo it. Or do I need to remove the entire furnace (after removing ducts, gas-line, wiring)
and disassemble everything on the bench?
Thanks!
