Atwood furnace

A friend has an Atwood hydro flame furnace in his '83 Coachman.

The blower runs to start with, then the igniter fires okay, but it only holds a flame for a few seconds. It will sporadically re-light and then go out again. The fan runs the entire time. The thermostat was taken apart and cleaned. The tank is full of propane.

Any ideas?? How about a good source for parts also?

Max, most likely the unit needs to be cleaned. He could make certain that the lp gas pressure is correct and if so the unit will need to come out and diagnosed; it will probably have a lot of corrosion due to the age. Make sure the heat exchanger is in good condition before putting any money into repairs. He might be better off to replace the furnace with a new one.
