Atwood inner tank

i am replacing a 10 gallon inner tank and would like to know if i use all 4 burner tube metal rings the instructions only talk about 2.

I saw your posting a couple of days ago but didn't really know the specifics of your water heater. I never heard of an 'inner tank' which suggests an outer tank too. Since no one else has chimed in, I suggest you carefully look at what was in place. If it had 4 burner tubes I'd use all 4 in the new installation. If you have questions of this type, the best thing would be consult a service center or Atwood with specific questions. You can also Google search your specific water heater and find Atwood and many other resources, like documents and videos.

Dalesally, The rings support the face plate of the heater assy. so yes use all four rings, two behind the face panel for distance away from the tank and two in front to hold the panel in place. You can use a 3" hole saw blade to press the rings in place they are a tight fit.

This picture shows the tank setting face down with the inner ring still on. These rings space the face panel for proper mounting.mounting.

how far do the first ring go on.is there a measurement

Measure the old tank to see how far to push the inner rings on.
