Atwood water heater

I have an Atwood 6 gal propane hot water heater in a 2013 Fleetwood Excursion MH.
Heater lights and heats water, shuts off when hot. If I drain hot water off thru pressure relief valve eventually heater starts again, as expected. But at no time do i get hot water to any tap. Now and then a second or two of luke warm water goes by, but that is all. First use since winterizing last year (air pressure method) bypass valve is in proper position. Are there any other valves commonly installed? Could it be air bound somehow? Thoughts please?

Make sure outside shower valves are turned all the way off.

Outside shower

I have just read this on another post, I know the outside valves are open because we rinsed sand off kids feet. I remembered it as soon as i read your post. I almost never use the outside shower. Will close tomorrow and see if that does the trick . Is there a rational explanation for why this happens? Thanks.

Yes there is....
Shower faucet will act as a mixing chamber if hot/cold knobs are open and lever/button on shower handle is closed.
Cold/hot mix together inside the shower faucet diluting the Hot water temp.

Can even occur if Inside Shower is turned off via handle also

Causes of luke warm water:
WH Tank 'bypass' not closed/leaking thru
Showers not OFF using knobs
Mixing Valve on Atwood XT Models clogged (hot inlet side)

Outside shower

I couldnt wait - went out and shut off the valves and that did the trick. So water system(s) are big loops and not "home runs" like i did the pex in my house. I can see now what must be going on. Thanks for the quick reply, saving me aggravation and saving others from eye-rolling at my ignorance!!
