Hey guys. I need to replace my circuit board on my Atwood Water Heater. It developed a crack in the side only and works intermittingly. My coach is a 2000 Model Winnebago Journey. The water heater is model # GCH10A-3E. It's the 10 gallon with electronic ignition.

I have included pictures of the water heater, circuit board and model number sticker. I have found several circuit boards on ebay for around $115 shipped. My problem is where the wiring harness plugs into the circuit board, the newer boards looks different. Wider.

The booklet that came with the water heater lists the circuit board part #93867. The dealers on ebay state the circuit board part #93865 fits my model water heater.

Could someone please verify if this is correct? Does my water heater GCH10A-3E use circuit board #93865 and if so, will I need to purchase a different wire harness to fit it? Thanks.

Here are the picture and the ebay link to the circuit board I am planning on buying.

That should work on your water heater with no problem.

A lot of people use Dinosaur replacement boards and they seem to have a good reputation. Their site is Ignitor Board Index page
and their phone number is 514 994 4344.
Other folks have reported that they are very helpful. You might want to give them a call.

Lately, they new boards are coming out with an adapter to fit old and new harnesses. Not sure if the one from ebay is a complete kit but should have adapter if not a "second".

Check with my local Winnebago dealer as well as a few repair shops. They have all told me the #93865 circuit board fits it. They said Atwood stopped making the #93867 circuit board. The only difference between the two are the #93865 board has a built in fuse in the top left corner to help protect the board. The wiring plug is exactly the same. When I looked at all the pictures, I saw the fuse next to the connection and thought the connection was longer than it really is. I'm good now.

Order my new Atwood circuit board #93865 from Expressway_RV off of ebay for $102. Btw- my local Winnebago dealer wanted $216 for the same EXACT circuit board. When will dealerships realize we have options and stop trying to rip everyone off? Oh well. I'll be up and running tomorrow.

Thanks for you input.
