Atwood Water Heater Problems

I have a 1996 Fleetwood Pace Arrow and the Atwood gas water heater will not start. I am no longer getting a ticking sound when i turn it on. If someone is out side and uses a lighter when you trun on the switch it starts and runs fine. I replaced the ignitor but no change. Thanks for the help in advance.

try cleaning the wire connections to the circuit board using a pencil eraser, also make sure the wires are making a good connection. These are two easy to correct and fairly common issues.
